Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year, and this year’s celebration was full of laughter, creativity, and just the right amount of spooky fun!

From the moment our little ghosts, superheroes, and princesses walked through the door, the excitement was contagious. The children proudly showed off their costumes, everything from dinosaurs to doctors, and we loved seeing the imagination and confidence behind each one.

We kicked off the morning with a costume parade around the center, where the kids waved to their friends and teachers while showing off their festive outfits. Each class worked on a special Halloween art project, and the results were adorable!

We want to send a big thank you to our families for helping with costumes, treats, and supplies, and to our wonderful teachers for making everything run so smoothly. These moments of joy, imagination, and community are what make Discovery Years so special.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s Halloween celebration, but until then we’ll be enjoying the memories!

This week was packed with fun and learning as we welcomed two very special guests to the daycare - Rolly the Clown and the Science Lady! Rolly had everyone giggling with his silly tricks, colorful balloons, and playful antics that brought tons of laughter to the room. Then the Science Lady wowed us with exciting experiments that sparked curiosity in every child. It was a perfect blend of entertainment and education, and the kids haven’t stopped talking about it since!

We had an exciting visit at the daycare this week—a real firetruck came by! The children were thrilled to meet the firefighters, explore the truck up close, and even sit in the a fireman's seat. The crew talked about fire safety in a fun and engaging way, answering lots of curious questions from our little learners. It was a memorable experience that sparked big imaginations and even bigger smiles!

This week at the Discovery Years, we had an absolute blast with a glowstick party! The kids lit up the room with colorful glowsticks, dancing, laughing, and enjoying the glowing fun. To keep the creativity flowing, we also dove into some exciting art projects—painting, crafting, and using all kinds of textures and colors to make their imaginations come to life. It was a fun-filled day of movement, color, and creativity, and we loved seeing all the bright smiles (and glowing bracelets) around the room!

We’re so excited to announce that our Pre-K Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 29th, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM!

Join us as we celebrate our little graduates and all the amazing things they’ve accomplished this year. It’s a special milestone, and we can’t wait to share it with our wonderful daycare families.

After the ceremony, stick around for pizza and beverages as we continue the celebration together!

Dental Week is Feb. 17 - 21. The school will have professionals from Rodeo Dental coming to teach children how to take care of their teeth.

Join us for a fun and festive Valentine's Day Party on Friday, February 14th. We'll be celebrating with treats, crafts, and lots of heart-filled fun! Please be sure to bring a box of Valentines for your child's class by Monday, Feb. 10th! The kids will be writing their own names on the Valentine cards with help from the teacher. Parents can sign up to bring food for the party, on a list by the front door.

Be sure to send your little one in with their best Valentine's spirit – we can't wait to share the love with everyone!

Next week is Friendship Week (February 3rd-7th), and we have some exciting activities planned to celebrate the power of friendship!

On Tuesday, we'll be kicking things off with a Giving Tree, where we'll work together to spread kindness and generosity. Later in the week, we'll be creating a Friendship Banner to hang in our space as a reminder of the bonds we share.

It's going to be a week filled with fun, love, and learning about the importance of caring for one another. We can't wait to celebrate with all our little friends!

We're excited to offer a Free Vision Screening for all our little ones on Thursday, January 30th at 9 AM!

A quick vision check can make a big difference in early detection, so be sure to bring your child in for this important screening.
